The role supports TikTok USDS in the Pangle ads division, focusing on building and refining bidding and ad-prediction models within large-scale real-time advertising systems. This onsite position is based in San Jose, CA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine bidding algorithms and strategies across Pangle's ad delivery pipeline, including targeting, retrieval, ranking, and bidding models, to boost monetization efficiency and ad ROI.
- Enhance the performance and efficiency of large-scale online-learning deep models for real-time advertising applications.
- Apply advanced modeling techniques and strategic thinking to improve attribution accuracy, delivery quality, and long-term ecosystem sustainability.
- Identify and drive innovative commercialization technologies and product solutions.
- Design, implement, and iterate on core ad prediction models such as CTR and CVR.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical disciplines.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience building and training complex and scalable machine learning systems.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and software design, coupled with solid problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in coding and a solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, particularly deep learning and ranking models.
- Experience leading or driving machine learning projects.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in San Jose, CA is $136,800 - $259,200 annually. Compensation may vary outside this range based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is part of the total package and may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or incentives and restricted stock units. Benefits are available from day one and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid parental leave, disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, and paid time off, with 10 holidays, 10 sick days, and 17 days of Paid Personal Time prorated upon hire and increasing with tenure. The company reserves the right to modify benefits at any time.
