This Vice President level Lead Data Scientist role is based onsite in New York, NY, within JPMorgan Chase's Credit Card Decision Sciences Team. It drives analytics strategy and influences key business initiatives across cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of five or more data scientists and visualization specialists, directing analytics strategy for Affluent Cards.
- Design and execute a rigorous test and learn program, synthesizing large data sets to inform decisions and accelerate initiatives.
- Segment customers using internal and external attributes to identify growth opportunities, shape targeting strategies, and assess portfolio performance.
- Partner with Rewards & Benefits and Chase Brand Product teams to develop MIS and presentations aligned with business objectives.
- Evaluate and develop business-case analytics supporting rewards investments, UltimateRewards.com initiatives, and marketing campaigns.
- Present analysis results and recommendations to senior management.
- Lead the design, tracking, and strategic development of campaigns across branded and partner cards.
- Leverage and enhance analytics tooling, including Snowflake and AI-enabled applications, to increase the scale and speed of insights.
- Influence, support, and manage senior stakeholders across diverse organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as business, finance, economics, engineering, or mathematics.
- 7+ years of experience delivering advanced analytics with emphasis on marketing strategies, financial products, and credit cards.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools, notably Tableau, for data exploration and marketing performance evaluation.
- Strong skills in Python and SQL.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities, with experience conveying insights to all levels of management.
- Familiarity with cutting edge AI tools and the ability to solve open-ended technical problems with minimal guidance.
