Senior Data Engineer at Uline is responsible for designing BI and data warehouse architectures, building scalable data pipelines, and maintaining ETL and analytics platforms to support business insights. This onsite role is based in Waukegan, IL.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and implement BI and data warehouse solutions.
- Engage with project leads, analysts, and users to deploy and validate data warehouse applications.
- Develop complex data engineering pipelines to enable analytics and reporting across the organization.
- Conduct unit, performance, and regression testing on ETL mappings to ensure reliability.
- Adhere to coding standards, participate in code reviews, and raise quality practices.
- Manage production deployments and coordinate with cross functional teams to execute releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering.
- At least 5 years of hands on experience developing ETL processes with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Proven ability to write complex T-SQL and perform database performance tuning.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve data issues.
- Knowledge of SSIS, Python, Azure, Snowflake or Databricks is advantageous.

Compensation and Location
Salary range: USD 96,000 to 148,000 per year
