AI Engineer

Derex Technologies Inc is seeking an AI Engineer to join a distributed, remote-friendly team serving clients across North America. In this role, you will design, build, and integrate applications with Large Language Models, craft scalable APIs, and apply DevOps practices across multiple teams to drive performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• In this LLM full‑stack position, develop and integrate applications with Large Language Models and other enterprise services.
• Use front-end and server-side technologies to create APIs, apply DevOps practices, and optimize AI-powered applications.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert, offering advisory input and taking responsibility for team decisions.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to shape cross-cutting solutions and provide solutions that span groups.
• Demonstrate expert-level Cloud Infrastructure knowledge.
• Strong API design skills are highly desirable.
• Possess expert proficiency in Google Cloud Data Services, Database Management, Front-End Engineering, and Back-End Development.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.
• Design and implement scalable APIs to boost application performance.
• Apply DevOps best practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
• Stay informed on AI and cloud technology trends to drive innovation.
