Job Description

An AI Engineer specializing in automation and robotics, this role focuses on shaping embodied AI and foundational robotics models, developing and deploying AI and robotics solutions, and contributing to open source initiatives that advance robotic capabilities. The position is on site in Redmond, WA, with compensation in the range of USD 60 - 65 per hour.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of professional experience required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Refine and improve a range of sophisticated software projects through targeted tuning.
  • Design and build a robust test automation framework to support development and quality assurance.
  • Develop advanced training and evaluation pipelines for machine learning models.
  • Review and optimize training data for robotic and AI applications.
  • Create tooling to enable rapid deployment of new algorithms in both simulation and real hardware.
  • Integrate robotic control and perception stacks within multiple simulation environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering or a related domain.
  • Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Hands-on experience with simulation environments or working with robotic hardware.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot deeply and perform unit testing for both new and existing production systems.
  • Proficiency in programming with solid problem diagnosis and resolution skills.
  • Experience with leading machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
