Job Description
US Acute Care Solutions is seeking a Business/Data Analyst to support its Operation Analytics & Clinical Informatics department. In this role, you will connect business and clinical needs to analytics solutions that help strengthen healthcare delivery, improve operational efficiency, and support better clinical outcomes. Working with stakeholders and technical teams, you will turn healthcare and operational data into reporting, dashboards, and actionable insights aligned with strategic goals.
Role focus
- Translate business requirements into detailed data and reporting needs with clinical and operational stakeholders.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret healthcare and operational data from multiple sources to find trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
- Support analytics initiatives by planning, developing, and participating in the deployment of new tools and solutions.
- Apply healthcare and analytics knowledge to conduct root cause analysis on variances in clinical or operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate information from multiple sources by reconciling conflicts, breaking down high-level inputs into details, and distinguishing user requests from underlying true needs.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to support decision-making across departments.
- Partner with data engineering and IT teams to validate data pipelines and help ensure integrity, quality, and consistency of data.
- Support data governance and standardization efforts to promote consistent definitions and usage of healthcare metrics.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to share findings and collect stakeholder feedback.
- Create clear documentation of analytical methods, data sources, and assumptions to support reproducibility and transparency.
- Stay current on trends in healthcare analytics, informatics, and regulatory reporting to maintain alignment with industry standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in a healthcare or clinical analytics environment.
- Knowledge and experience in software development, with special focus on Enterprise Data Warehousing.
- Strong SQL skills, including querying complex datasets from data warehouses or clinical data repositories.
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, or population health data.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders and translate data into actionable insights.
- Attention to detail with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Experience identifying KPIs and designing metrics for operational tracking.
- Understanding of data privacy and security standards, including HIPAA compliance.
- Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Knowledge of healthcare terminologies (ICD, CPT, DRG, LOINC, etc.) and data standards (HL7, FHIR) is preferred.
- Experience with clinical data (EHRs, claims, billing, etc.) and large-scale data systems is highly desirable.
- Exposure to healthcare quality reporting, regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, HEDIS), or clinical outcome analysis is a plus.

Salary and location
- Location: United States (onsite)
- Salary range: USD 68,315 - 126,383 per yearly
- Final compensation may vary based on experience, education, skills, and performance.
