Job Description

Intrinsic is hiring a Data Engineer to join a development team building modern simulation platforms for the Aerospace industry. This hybrid role in Colorado Springs, CO focuses on turning large, complex simulation data into clear insights and decision support. If you want to work with realistic simulation environments, collaborate with stakeholders on metrics, and deliver high quality features for clients, this position offers a strong growth path alongside a dynamic, high-performing team.

You will help formulate insights from simulation outputs that emulate real world systems and platforms, then create visualizations that communicate key metrics quickly and intuitively from large, heterogenous data sets. Accuracy matters, so you will also verify simulation models and scenarios while partnering with teams to meet simulation and production system requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data insights from realistic simulation environments emulating real world systems and platforms
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand desired simulation and production system requirements and metrics
  • Create visualizations that rapidly communicate key metrics from large, heterogenous data sets and formats
  • Verify accuracy of simulation models and scenarios
  • Contribute within a dynamic, adaptable, high performing team
  • Continuously grow skills using the latest technology
  • Deliver high quality product features exceeding client expectations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or similar technical field) or equivalent practical experience
  • DoD Top Secret Clearance (Required) and US Citizenship
  • 4+ years of experience with Python
  • Experience with the ELK stack
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools
  • 3+ years of relevant experience on an Agile software development team
  • Experience building, testing, and deploying software
  • Experience with Git in a team environment
  • Desire and interest to learn and grow outside core job requirements

Job type: Full-time (Monday to Friday). Pay: $95,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year. Work location: Hybrid remote in Colorado Springs, CO 80909 with commute capability required. Security clearance: Top Secret (Required).
