Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a mid level Data Scientist for an onsite role in Washington, DC, applying data science, ML/AI, and data engineering to transform data into actionable insights and lead algorithm development for a diverse set of clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and deployment of algorithms and supporting data systems.
- Collaborate with clients to clarify questions, explore data environments, and pinpoint information gaps.
- Coach teammates and drive data science projects from concept to delivery.
- Choose appropriate tools and frameworks to convert scattered data points into objective answers that guide client decisions.
- Build a deep understanding of data, its meaning, and potential uses for decision making.
- Apply leadership and technical expertise to deliver real-world impact.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with data science programming languages such as Python or R.
- Proven ability to design ETL pipelines, including API queries, data cleaning, conditioning, and storage schemas.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning methods.
- Ability to design and develop automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms.
- Experience integrating and extending free and open source software or commercial off the shelf products.
- Skill in generating data visualizations with Kibana, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.

Clearance
Applicants may be subject to a security investigation; possession of TS/SCI clearance is required.
Compensation
Projected salary range is 77,600 to 176,000 USD per year. Final compensation depends on location, education, experience, and contract-specific requirements.
