Data Scientist

MIRACORP INC is hiring a Data Scientist to support the Department of State, Directorate of Passport Services in Washington, DC. In this onsite role, you will apply complex analysis and modeling to surface business trends and challenges, then translate findings into data-driven solutions.

You will work with large-scale datasets, build and implement data models and databases, and communicate insights to help organizational needs. The position is designed for individuals who can independently analyze multi-source information and deliver actionable results.

Role Summary

Use complex data analysis and modeling to identify business trends and problems, then develop data-driven solutions in support of Passport Services. The work includes analyzing large-scale data, building data models and databases, and communicating results.

Responsibilities

• Independently analyze complex, large-scale data to identify business trends and problems.
• Interpret results from multiple sources using aggregation, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques.
• Design, develop, and implement business solutions based on analytical findings.
• Prepare large datasets for analysis and solution development.
• Implement data models and develop databases that support business solutions.
• Communicate analytical results and their implications for organizational needs.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to pass a federal background check.
• Must possess a SECRET personnel security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience; or 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with the U.S. Department of State is preferred.

Location and Compensation

• Location: Washington, DC (onsite)
• Compensation: USD 95,000 - 165,300 per year
• Minimum Experience: 3 years
• Education: Bachelor’s degree
