Senior Data Scientist

VISUAL SOFT, INC supports secure, mission-critical data environments within a classified cloud infrastructure. This Senior Data Scientist role is fully onsite in Washington, DC and requires an active TOP SECRET clearance.

As part of a hands-on Agile environment, you will work with large-scale data and apply data science models to turn complex datasets into actionable insights. You will also be responsible for improving how data is handled, searched, retained, and validated for quality in a classified setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hands-on Agile environment
• Utilize big data technologies and data science model knowledge to analyze large volumes of data and produce valuable insights
• Find and design new approaches for handling, analyzing, and using large datasets
• Explore fundamental issues related to data handling, search, and retention
• Solve complex data and storage problems
• Design and implement new software coding to improve data search processes
• Design, test, and validate data and data process quality
• Analyze and report results with actionable recommendations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 10 years of experience in data science
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Active TOP SECRET Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
• US Citizens with active TOP SECRET clearance are required for the project with a Major Prime
