Data Scientist (Senior / Mid-Level) – Top Secret Clearance

VISUAL SOFT, INC is seeking a Data Scientist (Senior or Mid-Level) to support secure, mission-critical data work within a classified cloud environment. This role is fully onsite in Huntsville, AL and requires an active Top Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply hands-on experience in an Agile environment to support data science and data engineering initiatives.
• Use big data technologies and data science model knowledge to analyze large datasets and produce valuable insights.
• Focus more on scientific modeling and programming than on visualization and analytics.
• Find and design new approaches for handling, analyzing, and using large volumes of data.
• Explore fundamental issues related to data handling, search, and data retention.
• Solve complex data and storage challenges.
• Design and implement new software coding to improve data search processes.
• Design, test, and validate the quality of data and data processes.
• Analyze outcomes and report results with actionable recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Active Top Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
• Hands-on experience in an Agile environment.
• 5+ years of experience (Mid-Level) or 8+ years of experience (Senior-Level) in data engineering or database development.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 5+ years (Mid-Level) or 8+ years (Senior-Level) of experience in data engineering or database development.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
