Mid/Senior Data Scientist

EpochGeo is hiring a mid-to-senior Data Scientist to support national security mission data science with geospatial analytics, scalable pipelines, and applied ML.

• Collaborate with analyst teams to understand problem sets and define automation workflows
• Identify opportunities to integrate machine learning algorithms and data engineering solutions at scale across big data architectures
• Design and build working prototypes and proof of concepts for real-world national security problem sets
• Develop and refine analytics assets using Python scripts, complex SQL queries, and data pipelines
• Support analytics and operational reporting through robust pipeline development and execution
• Build and tune models and tools to address customer challenges
• Operate in a dynamic environment where requirements evolve

Requirements

• 3 – 6 years of experience in data science, Python, and SQL
• Education or experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or a related technical field
• Strong ability to build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architecture
• Familiarity applying machine learning and statistical methods to complex problem sets with successful outcomes
• Experience working with geospatial data, geospatial analytics, and related tools or libraries
• Prior experience in the IC, geospatial analysis, or data engineering is highly desirable
• Must hold a TS/SCI clearance and be willing to submit for a CI Poly

Bonus / Additional

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Geography, or a similar field
• Experience with geospatial data integration and DoD/IC operational workflows
• Security+ or CISSP certification

Compensation

• Salary: USD $140,000 - $200,000 per year
