Data Scientist

Embedded Alliance is seeking a Data Scientist to support GEOINT analysis in day-to-day operations and mission support. This role works within small teams, handling end-to-end analytics work that spans conceptualization through deployment, including associated visualization and decision products.

Based in Springfield, VA, the position is onsite (in person) and focuses on building advanced analytics, communicating results, and ensuring deliverables are developed, tested, and hardened for real-world use.

Responsibilities

• Support GEOINT analysis activities in day-to-day operations and mission support.
• Independently work on small teams to conceptualize, design, develop, test, and harden advanced analytics for deployment, including algorithm development using Python, R, VBA, Excel, and other tools as required by the client’s problem and environment.
• Create the design and development of visualizations and other decision products tailored to the advanced analytics and the client’s decision problem; perform analytics and communicate findings and outputs.
• Prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines and work objectives.

Requirements

• Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI (required).
• Industry experience.
• Experience working independently with minimal guidance.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including experience exercising mature judgment.
• Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
