Data Analyst

MetaPhase Consulting is seeking a Data Analyst to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) with data-driven analysis, reporting, and operational insights. This onsite role in Washington, DC focuses on turning complex datasets into clear, executive-ready findings that help improve processes and inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, validate, and interpret structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to support operational and strategic initiatives
• Build recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate trends, performance metrics, and key findings
• Detect data anomalies, inconsistencies, and process gaps, then recommend corrective actions or process improvements
• Convert complex analytical results into concise, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders
• Support program and operational decisions using both quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Assist with data calls, executive briefings, and reporting requirements with accuracy and timeliness
• Monitor performance metrics and develop recommendations to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintain data integrity through quality assurance reviews, validation processes, and documentation standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting processes, workflows, and data governance practices
• Create SOPs, templates, and documentation to standardize reporting and analytical processes

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or related analytical support roles
• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business, statistics, information systems, or a related field
• Experience analyzing complex datasets and presenting findings to executive or operational stakeholders
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to help analyze unstructured data or information
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, SQL, or similar reporting and visualization tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• Active Public Trust Clearance
• Experience working in a federal consulting environment
