Data Analyst

Booz Allen Hamilton supports efforts to modernize and advance military capabilities across Combatant Commands, and this Data Analyst role helps turn complex information into actionable insight. In this position, you will work with data sources, apply analytics and data quality practices, and communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.

Location for this opportunity is Alexandria, VA, with onsite work primarily performed full-time at a customer facility. The projected annual compensation range is USD 62,000 - 141,000, and the role requires 5+ years of relevant experience.

What You’ll Do

• Support an assessment effort focused on modernizing and future military capabilities across Combatant Commands.
• Identify, collect, and analyze data sources; extract key information; and evaluate and monitor data quality to meet client organization needs.
• Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and build cross-functional solutions through collection, analysis, and visualization of multiple data sets.
• Use data cleansing and analytics experience to simplify technical requirements and trends based on the audience.
• Assist with data validation and cleaning to support quality and data integrity.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using database and scripting tools, including SQL, Python, R, and Microsoft Office.
• Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive technical outcomes.
• Create data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI, and document the process used to produce visuals.
• Participate in program meetings, collaborate with stakeholders, develop documents and briefs, and communicate results to Joint Force leaders at the GS-15 and O-6 level and above.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience implementing strong data principles, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis to identify insights and trends.
• Experience using R or Python for data transformations.
• Experience using Palantir Foundry or Maven Smart Systems to construct pipelines, ontologies, or workshops.
• Experience with Microsoft tools such as Excel, Power Apps, Power Automate, or SharePoint.
• Ability to communicate data insights in both written and verbal formats.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines simultaneously.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.
