This onsite Data Engineer II role in New York, NY focuses on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning, with an opportunity to redesign the organization’s data architecture. The position offers a salary range of USD 145,300 to 196,600 per year.

Responsibilities
- Create, operate, and optimize robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and store data from databases, APIs, and external data providers.
- Design and refine ETL processes to cleanse, enrich, and structure raw data for analysis and reporting.
- Implement and manage data warehousing solutions to ensure efficient storage, fast retrieval, and reliable query performance.
- Set data quality standards, perform validations, and proactively identify and address data quality issues.
- Optimize pipelines and storage to handle large data volumes while maintaining performance and reliability.
- Enforce data privacy and security through access controls, encryption, and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to translate data needs into practical infrastructure.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for pipelines, data models, and processes to support knowledge sharing and troubleshooting.
- Implement monitoring to detect and address pipeline failures or performance bottlenecks.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to the data landscape.
Requirements
- 3+ years of data engineering experience.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Knowledge of distributed systems as they pertain to data storage and computing.
- Bachelor's degree required.
