Responsibilities

• Create, operate, and optimize robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and store data from databases, APIs, and external data providers.
• Design and refine ETL processes to cleanse, enrich, and structure raw data for analysis and reporting.
• Implement and manage data warehousing solutions to ensure efficient storage, fast retrieval, and reliable query performance.
• Set data quality standards, perform validations, and proactively identify and address data quality issues.
• Optimize pipelines and storage to handle large data volumes while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Enforce data privacy and security through access controls, encryption, and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to translate data needs into practical infrastructure.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for pipelines, data models, and processes to support knowledge sharing and troubleshooting.
• Implement monitoring to detect and address pipeline failures or performance bottlenecks.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to the data landscape.

Requirements

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Knowledge of distributed systems as they pertain to data storage and computing.
• Bachelor's degree required.
