Pay range: USD 104,041.60 – 137,841.60 per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data warehouse ETL solutions using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Bricks, and PySpark ETL
  • Develop and deploy data collection processes aligned with the data warehouse
  • Source data from legacy systems to support a centralized data warehouse and reporting platform
  • Create technical solutions to meet Data Warehouse, BI and Analytics requirements
  • Collaborate with informaticists and analysts to translate analytic needs into technical solutions
  • Contribute to data integration strategies and the vision for data architecture
  • Build and maintain optimal data pipeline architectures based on microservices aligned with platform and application requirements
  • Partner with the Data Engineering, BI & Analytics teams, the Data Warehouse Architect, and the Data Systems Architect to design usable, complete, and accurate enterprise data solutions
  • Support data infrastructure needs for stakeholders including Executive, Product, Data and Design teams
  • Analyze user requirements and translate them into database specifications, implementing them in database code
  • Provide detailed analysis of data issues, data mapping, and automation to improve data quality
  • Assemble large, complex data sets to meet functional and non-functional business requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements such as automating pipelines, optimizing data ingestion, and designing scalable infrastructure
  • Create, maintain, and optimize SQL queries and routines
  • Investigate data quality issues to determine root causes and implement solutions
  • Develop, adopt, and enforce Data Warehouse and ETL standards and architecture
  • Monitor and support ETL processes to ensure data source integrity
  • Facilitate problem management and communication among data architects, managers, informaticists, and analysts
  • Perform source-to-target mapping validations and document results
  • Identify, document, and execute unit tests; lead code reviews and document results
  • Provide ongoing proactive technical support for ETL and data warehouse systems to ensure business continuity
  • Perform other duties as needed to support Health Plan operations and departmental needs

Requirements

  • Four years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with logical, dimensional, and physical data modeling concepts
  • Strong background in database systems with solid SQL skills
  • Experience with orchestration tools, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD
  • Intermediate experience with the following technologies and tools:
    • Azure Data Catalogue / Purview
    • Azure Cloud
    • Databricks
    • Power BI Dataflows
    • Power Query
    • Azure Cosmos
    • Azure Monitor
    • PowerShell
    • Python
    • PySpark, Spark, Hadoop, Kubernetes, and RDMIS development is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred
  • Azure Data Engineering Certification is preferred

Work Model and Location

This position operates on a hybrid schedule with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and onsite presence Tuesday through Thursday in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
