Job Description

Hybrid in Boulder, CO, with a role split evenly between technical data science and technical R&D, plus pricing and cost analytics for Federal Government bids. Tech7 Consulting LLC is hiring a Data Scientist II to support mission-focused work in an Agile/DevOps environment, with an initial emphasis on pricing activities that can transition toward greater data science involvement while maintaining a 50/50 balance (with flexibility).

What you’ll work on

You’ll support the development, testing, and deployment of specialized data science applications for government R&D missions using an Agile/DevOps pipeline. You’ll also translate operational and mission requirements into digital engineering and data-driven models that guide application development.

  • Build, integrate, and execute analytical tools to assess, baseline, and enhance software and application utility, including processing areas such as Overhead Persistent InfraRed data processing
  • Partner with integrated federal and contractor product teams to deliver high-impact technical solutions
  • Design, build, and maintain dynamic pricing models and analytical tools to support proposals across FFP, CPFF, T&M, and IDIQ contract types
  • Evaluate RFPs/RFQs, develop Basis of Estimate (BOE) frameworks, and support compliance with FAR, DFARS, and CAS standards when needed
  • Conduct rate analysis and customer scope reviews with program and BD leadership to develop ROMs for customer delivery
  • Collaborate with Capture, Business Development, and Leadership teams to present cost/price models, risk-adjusted profit analyses, and proposal narratives

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of professional experience across data science, quantitative modeling, and federal cost/pricing analysis
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps workflows
  • Advanced quantitative modeling skills, including Python, R, and advanced Microsoft Excel modeling
  • Understanding of federal government acquisition processes and proposal pricing principles
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and communicate complex technical and financial concepts to stakeholders in a team-focused, highly culture-centric environment

Annual pay transparency range: $100,000 – $130,000.
