The role converts mission requirements into scalable production analytics through collaboration with subject matter experts and engineering or cloud teams.
Responsibilities
- Produce data visualizations that clarify dataset structure and meaning.
- Partner with SMEs to identify key information within raw data and develop scripts to extract insights from multiple data formats, including SQL tables, structured metadata, and network logs.
- Incorporate SME input into feature vectors for analytic development and testing.
- Translate customer qualitative analysis processes and goals into quantitative formulations implemented in software prototypes.
- Develop and implement statistical, machine learning, and heuristic techniques to support descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
- Create statistical tests to enable data-driven recommendations and decisions.
- Design experiments to collect required data or build models to simulate data when data is not available.
- Build feature vectors for machine learning algorithm input.
- Select appropriate algorithms for a given dataset and tune input and model parameters.
- Evaluate and validate analytic performance using standard methods and metrics, including cross-validation, ROC curves, and confusion matrices.
- Oversee individual analytic efforts and guide the analytic development process for the team.
- Direct analytic work toward solutions that can scale to large datasets.
- Work with software engineers and cloud developers to deliver production analytics.
- Develop and train machine learning systems based on statistical analysis of data characteristics to support mission automation.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
- Proficiency in Python and R for data manipulation, analysis, and algorithm implementation.
- Strong foundation in statistics and probability, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and statistical distributions.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks, including TensorFlow and Scikit-Learn.
