Job Description

Within Booz Allen Hamilton’s CIO Data and AI team, this mid-level Data Scientist role supports high-visibility enterprise reporting and decision-support. You will build and sustain dashboards, data models, queries, and automated analytics solutions using Databricks and related tooling, partnering across the organization to turn data into actionable outcomes.

This onsite position is located in McLean, VA. The projected annual compensation range is USD 77,600 to 176,000, with pay informed by location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific requirements.

What you’ll do

  • Own and evolve existing dashboards and data models, updating, troubleshooting, and enhancing them as needs change.
  • Use Databricks and related tools to refine pipelines, automate workflows, and build notebooks that support enterprise data products.
  • Partner with business leaders to document, prioritize, and deliver company-wide reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to combine disparate data sources into insights that teams can act on.
  • Develop and maintain Tableau-based solutions including dashboards, alerts, data queries, and other data assets used by internal and client-facing leaders.
  • Apply modern data engineering practices to strengthen the performance and reliability of enterprise data products.

Required qualifications

  • Experience with reporting or BI tools, including building dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with data modeling and building workflows in Databricks or Alteryx.
  • Experience with Databricks, including building notebooks that support dashboards.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within this facility.
