IAR Data Analyst
Job Description
Lead with data to deliver research-grade, actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Extract, process, analyze, and report on data to produce rigorous, actionable insights and research.
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends that inform program development, student engagement strategies, and marketing initiatives.
- Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards and data visualizations, including consolidating and improving existing reporting assets.
- Translate stakeholder needs and ambiguous business questions into technical requirements and data-driven solutions.
- Partner with Data Engineering to support ETL and data pipeline development while ensuring data quality and reliability.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and communicate findings through data storytelling, recommendations, and clear insights.
- Apply descriptive statistics, root cause analysis, diagnostic methodologies, and other analytical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Program Development, Product, Marketing, and Decision Intelligence to support strategic initiatives and drive business impact.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with peers and leaders across IAR, Data Engineering, Product Management, Finance, EdTech, and Faculty staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- 3 years of related experience in one or more areas: Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Statistics, Decision Intelligence, Research, Learning Science, Behavioral/Cognitive Psychology, Marketing Analytics, or Digital Analytics.
- Strong SQL skills, including experience querying large datasets.
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
- Experience working with ETL or ELT processes and data pipelines.
- Solid working knowledge of descriptive statistics and analytical methods, applied to real-world datasets to identify trends and support data-driven conclusions.
- Ability to apply sound judgment and analytical thinking to identify root causes of data issues and inform recommendations.

- Experience producing AI-assisted analytics, including leveraging AI-enabled tools and technologies to accelerate analysis, generate insights, enhance reporting, and support data-driven decision-making.

Location and Work Schedule
- United States (onsite).
- Full-time, in-office position requiring five days per week in the Salt Lake City, UT office.
Travel
- Occasional travel up to 20%.
- Includes required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year).
- Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed.

Position Details
- Full-Time Regular position (classified for 40 standard weekly hours).
- Eligible for bonuses.
Compensation
- USD 75,200 - 112,700 per year.
