Job Description

Siemens is hiring an Industrial AI Engineer for an onsite role in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The position focuses on developing and scaling Industrial AI solutions that improve manufacturing performance by bringing AI models into production environments and supporting shop-floor adoption.

Role Overview

This role translates Industrial AI concepts into production-ready systems. You will validate AI capabilities in live industrial settings, work with operational and data requirements from shop-floor and IT sources, and help drive measurable improvements in operational performance and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy AI models that address a range of industrial and manufacturing challenges using data-driven insights and decision-making.
  • Design and build AI solutions using time-series shopfloor data and MES/IT data, aligned with real production processes and operational needs.
  • Perform data preparation, engineering, and model development to ensure contextualized industrial data is effectively utilized for AI applications.
  • Deploy AI models into factory environments, maintaining reliable performance under real-world conditions including data variability, latency, and integration with operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Data Architects, System Architects, software developers, and factory teams to ensure solutions are scalable, reusable, and integrated into industrial systems.
  • Work with external partners to support the implementation of standardized Industrial AI solutions.
  • Continuously validate and refine AI models based on production data and feedback to ensure operational and business impact.
  • Lead scaling of AI solutions across plants by enabling repeatable deployment patterns and supporting organization-wide standardization of Industrial AI capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML models in production environments, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or automation domains.
  • 2+ years of experience programming in relevant languages such as Python, R, or Java, and using AI/ML frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn, with hands-on experience building and testing machine learning models.
  • 2+ years of experience deploying and validating AI models in industrial or production environments.
  • 2+ years of experience working in cross-functional, customer-facing teams and adapting to evolving requirements.
  • 2+ years of experience working with data-driven systems in operational or industrial environments.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% to support customer teams during critical deployment periods.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical industrial applications.
  • Experience in production manufacturing environments, including piloting, validating, and refining AI solutions in operational settings based on production feedback.
  • Familiarity with Industrial AI platforms and ecosystems, including Siemens solutions (such as Senseye and Industrial Edge) or comparable AI/IoT platforms, along with industrial automation systems and OT/IT integration and cloud-based AI deployment.
  • Knowledge of data preparation, feature engineering, AI model evaluation, and compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements for AI in industrial environments.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and workstreams in a deadline-driven environment, supporting continuous improvement through performance monitoring, model drift mitigation, model refinement, and scaling across multiple deployments.
  • Proven ability to share deployment learnings and collaborate with factory teams to drive continuous improvement and adoption of AI solutions.

Location and Compensation

Location: Dallas, TX (onsite), supporting the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Salary: USD 83,966 - 143,942 per year. Minimum experience: 2 years.
