IT Data Analyst

Fidelity TalentSource is seeking an IT Data Analyst in Merrimack, NH (onsite) to help build out Fidelity’s Business Performance Measurement (BPM) capabilities. In this role, you’ll work with Technology and business partners to improve access to enterprise views, strengthen reporting and analytics, and support better decision-making. You’ll also get the opportunity to quickly ramp up on Fidelity’s data lake on the company’s data platform.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate across Technology with business partners to develop and expand Fidelity’s BPM capabilities.
• Improve data access and analytics by enabling easier access to enterprise views and driving deeper insights for reporting and analytics.
• Build an understanding of the data lake on Fidelity’s data platform to support analysis and reporting needs.
• Work on priorities within a multi-year effort to grow the BPM platform in close collaboration with business partners, data engineers, and peer data analysts inside autonomous teams.
• Capture business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
• Define user stories and validate the impact of changes to datasets and data models.
• Break down complex work into clear, manageable elements that support delivery.
• Propose alternative approaches and recommend options based on benefits and tradeoffs.
• Apply data management and data modeling practices while building data solutions.
• Define robust test scenarios, using your data analysis and data profiling skills.

What you bring

• Experience navigating integrated enterprise data and working across multi-functional teams.
• Good, applied knowledge of agile methodologies and practices.
• Working knowledge of SQL or Python, with the ability to independently wrangle datasets to produce meaningful insights.
• Ability to communicate sophisticated concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Passion for continuous learning, mastering new skills, and staying current with innovations in data analytics.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to cultivate relationships.
• Familiarity with Jira / Jira Align is a big plus.
• Familiarity with enterprise data lakes and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake is a big plus.
