Job Description
Join Manpower Engineering in Westmont, IL (onsite) as a Lead Data Engineer supporting the Leasing Data Engineering group. This role focuses on modernizing data architecture and building AI-ready data solutions for leasing transaction and related datasets. You will design and deliver a governed data foundation, develop reliable pipelines, and expose data through APIs for enterprise and downstream consumers.
Compensation: $70 to $75 per hour. Experience: 7+ years in data engineering and Big Data development.
What you will deliver
- Design and deliver data models and architecture for leasing transaction, broker, CRM, and market availability data.
- Build and optimize cloud-based pipelines and platform components on Azure and/or AWS, migrating siloed sources into a unified, governed data layer.
- Develop robust batch and incremental pipelines using Python/PySpark and SQL, focused on production readiness and fault tolerance.
- Create data products, semantic structures, and API/MCP interfaces for AI systems and analytics applications.
- Implement integration services and APIs that expose leasing data to enterprise applications and downstream consumers.
What you bring
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering and Big Data development, with a proven track record delivering complex projects.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms on Azure or AWS, including services such as Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Glue, or EMR.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, including expertise with PySpark/Spark for distributed processing at scale.
- Strong skills in data modeling and architecture, with experience using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience designing and building API services and integrating data platforms with downstream applications, including familiarity with AI/agentic workflows and MCP integrations.
