Job Description
Build state-of-the-art generative AI in a team focused on core modeling technology for Apple Intelligence. This onsite role in Cupertino, CA brings together large-scale training and on-device optimization work that helps power experiences like Genmoji, Image Playground, and Image Wand. You will help advance modern diffusion and auto-regressive generative models while also developing proprietary, experimental ideas tailored to Apple’s ecosystem.
Compensation: USD 216,200 - 324,800 per year.
What you’ll do
- Develop modern generative models using diffusion and auto-regressive technologies.
- Continuously evaluate the latest AI research and apply high-impact advancements quickly.
- Pioneer proprietary, experimental ideas designed specifically for Apple’s unique ecosystem, alongside ongoing research efforts.
What you bring
- M.S. or PhD in Computer Science (or a related field such as Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience training and fine-tuning modern image and video generation models.
- Experience working in an academic or industrial research environment.
- Proficiency with an ML framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bring clarity in ambiguous circumstances.
Preferred
- Demonstrated strength in industrial research, including delivery of complex projects and/or publications in top-tier venues.
