Master Data Analyst
Job Description
The Master Data Management Analyst ensures the quality and governance of product and item master data used across Supply Chain and the broader organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform standard item setup, maintenance, bulk uploads, and other master data activities in applicable business systems.
- Maintain master data accuracy, completeness, and consistency aligned to business rules, controls, governance standards, and operating procedures.
- Act as a point of contact for master data requests and issues from cross-functional teams including Planning, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, GTO, Quality, and Finance.
- Investigate and troubleshoot master data issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with business and technology partners to drive resolution.
- Conduct ongoing data quality reviews, audits, validations, and integrity checks; communicate findings and corrective actions.
- Document business processes, data requirements, business rules, and standard operating procedures.
- Recommend improvements to master data processes to reduce manual effort, eliminate rework, and improve overall data quality.
- Support master data system enhancements, testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation activities.
- Support customer, market, regulatory, and industry data requirements, including applicable product identification and data standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Master Data Management, product data, Supply Chain, ERP, or a related business environment.
- Experience creating, maintaining, validating, or governing master data within ERP, PLM, PIM, MDM, or similar enterprise systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive resolution.
- Ability to document functional requirements, business rules, process flows, and operating procedures.
- Strong understanding of data quality and data governance principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with large data sets.
- Ability to interpret detailed data requirements while considering broader business objectives and downstream impacts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with business and technology stakeholders.
- Proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Strong command of the English language (written and verbal) is required.
- Ability to collaborate across functions, markets, and regions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle, PLM, Product Information Management, or Master Data Management platforms.
- Familiarity with GS1 standards, GTIN/UPC management, GDSN, retailer data requirements, or other product data standards.
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other data analysis and reporting tools.
- Experience supporting global Supply Chain, consumer products, manufacturing, retail, or ecommerce environments.
Additional Information
- Onsite role in El Segundo, CA.
- Pay range: $71,000 - 88,000 per year.
