Job Description
CBRE is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, deploy, and maintain advanced AI/ML systems that address complex business challenges. This onsite role in Richardson, TX focuses on Generative AI and Agentic AI frameworks, including workflow automation and the productionization of AI/ML capabilities.
What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end design, development, and implementation of scalable AI/ML systems and pipelines, with a focus on Generative AI/LLM solutions, including RAG implementation and evaluation.
- Partner with data scientists to move experimental models into robust, production-ready deployments.
- Design and implement MLOps strategies, including CI/CD, version control for models and data, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code for AI solutions.
- Improve existing AI/ML models for performance, accuracy, scalability, and computational efficiency using advanced techniques.
- Develop and integrate AI/ML services and APIs into existing software applications and platforms.
- Debug and resolve complex production issues across model performance, data pipelines, infrastructure, and distributed systems.
- Define and apply best practices for AI/ML development, deployment, and governance, including data privacy, security, and responsible AI standards.
- Mentor junior AI/ML engineers through technical guidance and support for continuous learning.
- Conduct ongoing research in AI/ML, deep learning, and Generative AI, including LLMs, Agentic AI, and RAG, with emphasis on innovative context engineering.
- Provide expert recommendations that shape AI roadmap planning and capability development across multi-discipline teams.
- Explain complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred plus 8-10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and major AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- Demonstrated MLOps experience, including tools and practices for model versioning, training, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP, and AI/ML services such as SageMaker, Azure ML, and Vertex AI.
- In-depth understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and underlying mathematical principles.
- Experience with data processing, feature engineering, and managing large-scale datasets, including SQL and big data technologies.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and optimize algorithms across AI/ML use cases, including Generative AI techniques such as LLMs, GANs, VAEs, and Agentic AI frameworks, with hands-on RAG design, implementation, evaluation, and context engineering.
- Advanced problem-solving skills for unique, complex technical challenges with broad business impact.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders at senior levels.
- An innovative, inquisitive mindset that supports continuous improvement and method development.
