Senior Applied AI Engineer

Senior Applied AI Engineer role focused on building RAG pipelines and integrating AI solutions with internal systems and data sources.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
• Connect AI solutions to internal systems and data sources
• Communicate and present technical work clearly
• Explain to executives why a solution should be built
• Communicate executive-ready business value and impact
• Operate as a self-starter in environments with loosely defined requirements
• Work effectively in a fluid, fast-changing environment

Requirements

• Experience building RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
• Ability to connect AI solutions to internal systems and data sources
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable presenting to executives, including:
  • Why a solution should be built
  • Business value and impact
• Self-starter who can work independently with loosely defined requirements
• Comfortable operating in a fluid, fast-changing environment
• Degree is a plus, not a requirement

Compensation

• USD 140,000 - 180,000 per year
• 10% bonus

Schedule and Location

• Relocation: open to candidates willing to relocate; no relocation assistance available

Team and Reporting

• Reports into the Director of Data Science (Hiring Manager)
• Data Science team size: approximately 6-7 people

Interview Process

• Take-home skills assessment (practical AI exercise)
  • Candidate chooses from 3 project options
  • Build an AI tool/solution
  • Estimated completion time: max 3 hours
  • One week provided to complete
• Interview with Chief Medical Officer
