The City of Coral Springs is seeking a part-time Budget Data Analyst to deliver professional data analytics and practical support for internal teams and community stakeholders. The role emphasizes data mining, analysis, and visualization to produce clear, outcomes-focused reporting and to inform system and technology needs across City departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and analytical support for departmental projects, including data collection, updating, and maintenance across multiple systems (including performance measurement, surveys, and benchmarking consortia).
- Centralize and prepare datasets by identifying source systems, coordinating with data owners, cleaning and validating data, and ensuring proper handling of protected information.
- Design and execute queries, dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights and support data-driven decision making.
- Track and analyze performance measures, annual goals, and benchmarking indicators; produce recurring analytical reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Support the development and improvement of departmental procedures, documentation, and data workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Assist with accreditation processes and help maintain benchmarking, best-practice, and award documentation.
- Participate in special projects as needed and perform related analytical tasks.
- Perform related tasks as required.

This position requires strong capability across the full data analytics cycle, including mining, analyzing, and visualizing data. The analyst will focus on generating clear, outcomes-driven reports that support innovation and growth while maximizing returns on investment for Coral Springs.
Additional duties include communicating with vendors and benchmarking and end users to determine necessary system functions, and evaluating new or upgraded technology to ensure it aligns with the specific needs of City departments.
Required Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelorโs Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a statistical or research-related field.
- Alternative: Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a statistical or research-related field with at least two (2) years of related work experience.
