The Sr Business Data Analyst position at DHL Supply Chain supports warehouse operations by converting operational data into actionable insights that improve performance and efficiency. The role centers on Power BI reporting, analytics solution design (including ETL pipelines), and close collaboration with site leadership and stakeholders across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Provide full Power BI development, including data visualization and back-end data model design.
- Implement and maintain standard reporting tools for the site or sector.
- Partner with functional teams such as HR and Finance to deliver customized analytics solutions as business needs evolve.
- Act as a point of contact for Power BI questions and contribute to analytics community initiatives.
- Lead knowledge-sharing sessions to promote data literacy and adoption of analytics tools.
- Manage analytics projects independently and across multiple sites.
- Design and implement data pipelines (ETL) that pull from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured sources.
- Stay current with modern data analytics trends and apply best practices to improve processes.
- Support site startups as needed by implementing analytics tools and reporting frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or 4 years of equivalent professional experience (required).
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field (required).
- Extensive experience with SQL or other scripting languages (such as Python or R) to query, clean, and transform data (required).
- Power BI proficiency, including building dashboards and reports from scratch (required).
- Proficiency writing DAX expressions to automate and enhance Power BI reports (required).
- Experience designing and managing data pipelines and working with diverse data sources (required).
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts, data modeling techniques, and modern analytics trends (required).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate data into actionable insights (required).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead cross-functional projects (required).
- Must be able to work fully onsite if the role is based out of a warehouse (required).
