Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Software Engineer – Data Engineer for multiple openings based at its Moscow, Idaho headquarters. This role supports the development of data solutions that combine data science and software engineering principles, with an emphasis on building systems that are well designed, secure, and scalable.

What you’ll do
- Create specifications, designs, implement and document a wide range of data solutions.
- Design normalized, relational and/or dimensional data models for OLTP and OLAP systems.
- Partner with stakeholders to build enterprise reporting models.
- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that move data from multiple sources while ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and secure.
- Administer and optimize data solutions to support performance and scalability.
- Develop solutions using technologies including SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Stream Analytics, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and Power BI Premium.
Key details about the role
These positions are based at SEL’s headquarters in Moscow, Idaho. The role requires regular on-site work at the Moscow office and does not permit remote work or work-from-home arrangements.
