Responsibilities
- Contributes to data driven decision making by analyzing budget, finance, and human resources data across the OSU System to produce actionable analytics for leadership.
- Designs, implements, and maintains data extraction workflows; creates analytical reports; and applies statistical and mathematical models to inform university decisions.
- Collaborates with OSU administrators, faculty, and external partners to ensure timely, accurate delivery of institutional data.
- Supports the development and upkeep of ePrint and other specialized reports available to colleges and campus offices.
- Explores and develops statistical models aligned with OSU management objectives.
- Proposes and implements enhancements to keep data extraction processes efficient and streamlined.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Education, or a related technology field (degree must be conferred by the start date).
- At least two years of experience in analytics, statistical or mathematical modeling, or SQL programming.
- Proficiency in SQL or SAS for data extraction and analysis.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build constructive relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
- Self motivated, conscientious, and detail oriented.
