What you'll do
- Design, scale, evaluate, integrate, ship, and refine reward signals for recommendations through hands-on ML development.
- Lead collaborations across Personalization to integrate and A/B test mid-term signals in various recommendation systems.
- Model and promote best practices for ML systems development, testing, and evaluation within the team and across the organization.
Who you are
- Background in machine learning with experience applying theory to real-world applications; strong foundation in statistics and optimization, especially for sequential models, transformers, generative AI, and large language models, including relevant fine-tuning processes.
- Hands-on experience with large, cross-functional ML projects and stakeholder management.
- Experience implementing production ML systems at scale in Java, Scala, Python, or similar languages.
- Familiar with large-scale distributed data processing frameworks/tools such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or Scio, and cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
- Commitment to agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and disciplined experimentation.
Where you'll be
New York, NY, onsite. The role offers flexibility to operate within the North America region where a work location is available, with collaboration aligned to the Eastern Standard Time zone.

The United States base range for this position is 170,000 to 212,000 USD per year, plus equity.
