Responsibilities
- Design and run studies to quantify the causal impact of marketing on brand metrics such as awareness, favorability, and consideration, using methods ranging from survey analysis to quasi‑experimental designs.
- Apply machine learning to identify which features of viewer marketing campaigns most influence brand perception and user behavior, with emphasis on causal users of YouTube.
- Design experiments to evaluate the efficacy of cultural moments as an overarching framework for other marketing initiatives (for example, shorts creator adoption and genai tools).
- Assess the impact of paid and organic social marketing on viewer growth and explore opportunities to convert viewers from competitors to YouTube.
- Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to design experiments that translate insights into action.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience conducting regression analysis.
- Two years of experience applying analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (Python, R, SQL), querying databases or performing statistical analysis, or a relevant PhD degree.
- Experience conducting causal inference analysis.
