Job Description

Build AI agent systems that handle real IT support work for small and mid-sized businesses, partnering closely with founders from infrastructure to customer-facing features.

Responsibilities

Develop and iterate AI agents that investigate and resolve IT support tickets in live customer environments
Scale distributed infrastructure to meet customer growth, reliability, and performance demands
Deliver product improvements across the stack, from frontend through backend and integrations, informed by direct customer feedback
Work day to day with founders on a roadmap that moves quickly
Optionally sit with customers to understand pain points and influence product direction

Requirements

2 to 5 years building software across the full stack
Proven ability to ship production systems and support them in the real world, at a scale of around 50 customers or more
Practical experience with LLM APIs, including prompt engineering and agent architecture design
Founding-engineer mindset: ship meaningful side projects and match the pace and commitment expected in an early team
Clear communication and ability to simplify complex problems
Decisiveness on what to prioritize first

Technologies

LLM APIs

Benefits

$175,000 to $220,000 per year + competitive early-stage equity
Seed funding from a respected venture firm; founders with backgrounds in frontier AI research and high-growth enterprise software
Founding-engineer role: help shape product direction and engineering culture
Large, largely untouched market with signed customers and adoption already running ahead of expectations
Agentic systems are core to the product, not AI added on top of an existing workflow

Nice to Haves

AI agents or tool-using LLM systems run in production (not only prototypes)
Experience at an early-stage startup (seed to Series C range)
Exposure to enterprise IT, security, or identity management
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a comparable technical field
Depth in distributed systems and backend infrastructure
Comfort owning front-end product work in addition to backend layers
