Job Description
Bruno Independent Living Aids, Inc. is seeking an AI Engineer to architect and deploy AI-first software solutions that drive ERP integrations, business intelligence, and IT operations within its manufacturing environment. This on-site role in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, centers on building agentic LLM workflows to automate and orchestrate complex tasks across systems, backed by a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of six years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of software applications, integrations, APIs, and database services using agentic LLM coding workflows as the primary development approach.
- Maintain and extend ERP customizations and deliver new solutions across multiple languages and platforms, selecting the most effective tool for each task.
- Oversee integration platform operations and CRM customizations, leveraging AI-assisted coding for rapid iteration (examples include Jitterbit and Salesforce APEX).
- Assess externally purchased IT solutions and services, providing review and recommendations.
- Manage relations with hardware and software vendors.
- Advocate AI-first development practices within the IT team and mentor peers on agentic coding workflows, prompt engineering, and LLM-augmented development to accelerate adoption and results.
- Design and build custom LLM agent harnesses and multi-agent architectures, including manager/supervisor patterns that coordinate specialized sub-agents to tackle complex development and automation tasks.
- Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and AI workflow playbooks for IT systems, software, integrations, APIs, and development procedures.
- Collaborate with managers to identify information needs and develop solutions that improve information processing and business analysis.
- Provide lifecycle support for applications and contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
- Lead long-term IT initiatives aligned with the company’s business strategy and objectives.
- Recommend and participate in the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT hardware and software, including on-premise and cloud PaaS/IaaS environments.
- Benchmark and report on IT infrastructure, proposing improvements and growth opportunities.
- Identify costly or inefficient technologies and implement strategic, timely solutions.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Stay current with evolving AI/LLM tooling and agentic frameworks, continually evaluating and adopting new AI-powered development tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience, with at least 3 years in a mid-sized manufacturing environment (preferred).

- Language polyglot capable of delivering solutions across multiple technology stacks.
- Experience with SQL, RESTful APIs, system integrations, Git, BI reports/dashboards, databases, and vendor management.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering for code generation, agentic task orchestration, and AI-assisted debugging.
- Experience with .NET/C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or other modern languages; familiarity with Epicor, Jitterbit, and Salesforce is preferred.
