Job Description
Orbis AI is building AI solutions that turn big data into practical business insights and help improve operational efficiency. As an AI Engineer in Mountain View, CA, you will lead the development, implementation, and optimization of AI systems, from scalable model training to production deployment.
This role focuses on advanced machine learning and natural language processing, with a strong emphasis on handling large datasets through big data tooling and ETL workflows. You will also work alongside cross-functional teams to integrate models into production using cloud services such as AWS.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced AI models using machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow and Spark.
- Build scalable big data solutions using Hadoop, ETL processes, and SQL databases to manage large datasets.
- Perform statistical analysis and modeling to support research initiatives and predictive analytics projects.
- Create natural language processing applications and generative AI models to improve data understanding and automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into production environments leveraging AWS (or similar cloud services).
- Optimize model training, evaluation, and deployment processes for scalability and performance across diverse platforms.
- Use statistical analysis tools such as SAS and R for research validation and insights generation.
- Maintain documentation covering AI development processes, model performance metrics, and deployment procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in machine learning/AI development, with strong background in statistical modeling and data mining.
- Hands-on expertise with Python, Java, C, SQL, and Bash (Unix shell) for coding, scripting, and automation.
- Extensive knowledge of big data systems, including Hadoop, Spark, Talend, and Looker.
- Familiarity with cloud-based machine learning services on AWS (or similar platforms) for model training and deployment.
- Experience with NLP, generative AI models, and predictive modeling analysis.
- Strong understanding of database design principles and experience working with SQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
- Knowledge of quantum engineering or advanced analytics tools is a plus but not required.
