AI / Machine Learning Engineer Staff (Electronic Warfare)
Job Description
This senior AI and machine learning engineering position sits in Lockheed Martin's Artificial Intelligence Center, focused on AI enabled signal processing solutions and leading critical technical projects across the software lifecycle in electronic warfare. Location: Fort Worth, TX with remote work options.
Responsibilities
- Apply current AI paradigms including computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning to address complex signal processing challenges and drive innovative solutions.
- Contribute across the system development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design to implementation, integration, and flight testing.
- Assume ownership of critical tasks and lead technical teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Contribute to the development of proposals and whitepapers to secure funding for AI research and development initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers to grow their skills and expertise.
- Offer guidance and support to team members to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and deploy AI solutions.
- Translate complex technical concepts and solutions for non technical stakeholders.
- Engage with other Lockheed Martin teams to identify opportunities for AI adoption and application.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or Keras
- Experience with Python and libraries including NumPy, OpenCV, Scikit, Pandas, and SciPy
- Experience applying machine learning and deep learning to signal processing applications such as radar, communications, electronic warfare, sonar, audio, or biomedical
