Job Description
Covista is seeking an Analytics Developer to design and implement analytical solutions and construct BI dashboards that drive enterprise objectives. This role sits at the crossroads of business and technology, requiring close collaboration with both business units and engineering teams to strengthen BI capabilities across the organization.

- Location: Columbia, MD (hybrid)
- Salary: USD 61,721 - 108,335 per year
- Experience: Minimum 2 years
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems
Responsibilities
- Convert business needs into clear technical specifications
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets following industry best practices
- Review, interpret, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries; produce maintainable code with proper structure, comments, and design
- Validate data in reports to build trust in BI solutions and provide feedback to data sources as needed
- Demonstrate proficiency across business intelligence technologies
- Conduct source data analysis including profiling, validation, and data modeling to assess data readiness for reporting
- Engage with subject matter experts to learn domain concepts and understand how data supports business processes
- Collaborate with partners to develop business requirements and steer innovative approaches for assigned solutions
- Adhere to project methodology, change management, and departmental procedures
- Communicate effectively within a team environment, including remote colleagues
- Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with policies and standards

In support of pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $61,720.78 and $108,334.92.
