Analytics Engineer, Conversational Analytics
Job Description
Ro is looking for an Analytics Engineer focused on Conversational Analytics. In this role, you will build the data and semantic foundations that enable accurate LLM-driven analytics, while partnering closely with stakeholders to turn needs into standardized, reusable data assets.

Compensation
- USD 137,300 - 166,000 per year
Role Responsibilities
- During the first 2-3 months, embed with a stakeholder team to review day-to-day analyst work, build relationships, and develop business fluency
- Design and implement foundational data models, semantic models, and supporting documentation and context that power conversational analytics across multiple data domains (growth, product, business metrics, operations, etc.)
- Address opaque, unstructured problems by creating core analytic frameworks and standardized semantic models that shape how the company conceptualizes its business
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver solutions that standardize the data approach to common problems across the organization
- Teach and guide stakeholders on best practices for using LLMs for their own data needs, and convert what works into reusable training materials
- Develop and maintain AI evaluations for conversational analytics, including programmatic accuracy tracking and establishing stakeholder feedback loops
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of full-time experience in quantitative analysis roles, with a portion focused on data modeling in dbt
- Hands-on experience using LLMs for coding and analytics, including building data products via LLM workflows rather than only answering basic questions
- Expert-level SQL skills
- Experience with BI tools, with Hex and Looker listed as current tools, to convey information effectively
- Strong communication and teaching capabilities
- Strong problem solving, analytical aptitude, and numerical dexterity
- Demonstrated track record of project ownership
