Job Description
Kings River Packing, LP is hiring a full-time Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making on-site in Sanger, CA. In this role, you’ll build and improve interactive Power BI dashboards that transform complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders. The position offers a competitive $72,000 - $92,000 annual salary (based on experience) plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, generous time off, and retirement savings support.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI
- Create user-friendly, visually clear reports that surface actionable insights
- Build and optimize data models using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
- Clean, transform, and prepare data from multiple sources for analysis
- Connect Power BI to data sources including SQL databases, Excel, APIs, and cloud platforms
- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to improve data accuracy and consistency
- Partner with business users to gather requirements and understand data needs
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver solutions aligned with business goals
- Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and scalability
- Troubleshoot issues related to data refresh, report rendering, and performance
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and other data governance practices for security and compliance
- Manage user access and permissions for Power BI reports and dashboards
- Provide training and support to end-users on using Power BI effectively
- Create documentation and best practices for Power BI development and usage
- Stay current on new Power BI features, tools, and industry trends
- Recommend and implement new technologies and techniques to strengthen analytics capabilities
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Mobile)
- Strong skills in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Understanding of ETL/data integration and data warehousing
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices
- Cloud platform familiarity with Azure or AWS is a plus
- Effective communication plus analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300)
- Experience with advanced analytics or machine learning in Power BI
- Python or R experience
- Experience with Power BI embedded or custom visuals
Compensation & benefits
- $72,000 - $92,000 annual salary, depending on experience

Work environment & schedule
