Job Description
NBCUniversal is seeking a Data Analyst to support Media Operations within Technical Operations. In this hybrid role based in New York, NY, you will own analytics projects focused on simplifying content supply chain operations through governance, metrics reporting, and change management.
The position centers on translating operational and business requirements into reliable data solutions, building dashboards and KPIs, and partnering across teams to improve visibility and performance.
What you’ll do
- Partner with the Fulfillment organization and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business goals, operational constraints, customer needs, and process improvement opportunities, then translate those requirements into actionable analytics solutions.
- Define and execute the department’s data and analytics roadmap, managing initiatives from start to delivery by coordinating scope, timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications.
- Collect, extract, cleanse, and validate data from multiple sources to support accuracy, consistency, and reliability, including support for databases, data systems, and automated data collection processes.
- Conduct exploratory and statistical analysis to identify trends, assess operational performance, and uncover insights, while developing and maintaining KPIs, governance metrics, and performance measurement frameworks.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI and Tableau, and present findings to stakeholders including senior leadership.
- Support continuous improvement by developing scalable reporting solutions, automated workflows, and standardized processes that enhance data quality, efficiency, and visibility.
- Own departmental operational reporting, including project status updates, productivity metrics, business performance indicators, accomplishments, and strategic initiatives, and support leadership planning such as long-range planning and operational reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Business, Finance, or Economics.
- Alternative paths may be accepted, such as equivalent work experience, coding bootcamps, or certifications in specific tools.
- 4+ years of proven performance working with project teams and delivering projects of all sizes.
- 4+ years of experience creating business presentations for executive audiences.
- 3+ years of experience managing metrics reporting in an operational environment.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience in media operations, broadcast, entertainment, or digital media industry.
- Experience with project management and workflow systems and tools: Salesforce, Jira, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience working in a data-first environment with tools such as Tableau, Tableau Prep, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Snowflake, and Excel (Advanced functions).
- Acute attention to detail, good interpersonal communication, and ability to work effectively in groups or teams.

Compensation and work setup
- Salary range: USD $90,000 - $105,000 per year
- Location: New York, NY (hybrid)
- Hybrid schedule: minimum of four days per week in the office; in-office requirements may change at any time
