Job Description

The Data Analyst position at Buxton Company is based in Fort Worth, Texas and focuses on advanced analysis, predictive modeling support, and client-facing deliverables. The role helps standardize client data and turn analytical insights into actionable reporting for real estate and marketing decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Support a cross-functional team in developing predictive models that inform real estate and marketing decisions for retail, restaurant, and healthcare clients.
  • Analyze consumer datasets, including frequency, valuation, expenditure habits, and other behavioral patterns.
  • Evaluate site location data, including trends derived from site characteristics, site types, key performance indicators, and related qualitative findings.
  • Standardize client data for analysis and perform data verification to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Build and customize dynamic reports and dashboards.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and create custom analytic solutions as project needs arise.
  • Share project scope, progress, and findings with internal stakeholders and directly with clients.
  • Engage directly with clients to deliver analytic solutions, provide ongoing support, and collaborate with key stakeholders, including real estate and marketing teams, to address business questions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify growth opportunities for existing client accounts.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Data Science, Market Research, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with familiarity with statistical concepts and an ability to solve complex problems.
  • Innovative, positive, and self-directed approach with interest in finding solutions to problems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a client-facing, multi-agency/vendor environment.
  • Capability to build and maintain client relationships and deliver strong customer service.
  • Experience working with Python or R.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Time management skills and ability to complete work to deadlines.
  • Experience in Quantitative Analytics is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL or equivalent academic experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Tableau is a plus.
