Job Description
Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is hiring a Data Analyst in Huntsville, AL to support Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) efforts for Missile Defense System (MDS) modeling and simulation (M&S). This role focuses on assessing hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and digital models against requirements, producing analysis results, and communicating VV&A findings to stakeholders supporting MDS simulations.
Working as the designated MDA M&S agent for systems verification, you will contribute to M&S VV&A analysis across key simulated components and develop code-based tools to evaluate performance parameters tied to analysis and accreditation plans.
Responsibilities
- Support MDA/SEQV Systems Verification as the designated MDA M&S agent to assess HWIL and digital models against their requirements and determine suitability for stated intended uses in MDS simulations
- Conduct M&S VV&A analysis in one or more areas including radars/sensors (RF/IR), threat, environment, interceptors, communications, or other simulated BMDS components
- Develop code-based data analysis tools to evaluate performance parameters identified in analysis and accreditation plans
- Research technical papers on models and identify data relevant to model VV&A
- Coordinate with counterparts from other stakeholder agencies, including software developers and accreditation agents, to establish adequate VV&A evidence and address modeling issues
- Participate in technical interchange meetings, generate reports, and brief VV&A findings
Requirements
- US citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required
- BS and/or MS in an Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science discipline, plus 7+ years of relevant experience
- Must possess a Secret level clearance (or higher)
- MATLAB and/or Python experience is a plus
- Understanding of radar principles/models is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including oral and written, with the ability to produce briefings, reports, and technical documentation as needed
