Job Description

Parahunt Global Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst in Long Beach, CA (onsite) to turn complex datasets into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL databases, ETL processes, and data analytics tools to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Design and build interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other reporting tools to visualize KPIs and business metrics.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, complete analysis, and translate business needs into technical specifications for data models and visualizations.
  • Perform database design and query management on SQL Server, Oracle, or similar relational databases to optimize data retrieval.
  • Create and maintain automated workflows using Python, R, Bash (Unix shell), or VBA to streamline data processing.
  • Contribute to SDLC analysis within an Agile environment to ensure data solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned to project goals.
  • Support business intelligence deliverables by analyzing requirements, building data models, and developing dashboards that enable strategic insights.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with SQL query management and database design across SQL Server, Oracle, or comparable platforms.
  • Strong proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for dashboard development and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL workflows using Talend or similar tools to extract, transform, and load data.
  • Knowledge of Python and R for advanced analysis and automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence analysis, requirements analysis, and dashboarding best practices.
  • Understanding of SDLC in an Agile context for iterative project delivery.
  • Ability to perform Excel data analysis using pivot tables, VBA macros, and advanced functions.
  • Experience working with linked data sources for comprehensive analytics solutions.
  • Strong business analysis skills to interpret complex datasets into clear insights for stakeholders.
