Data Analyst 2
Job Description
The University of Miami is seeking a full-time Data Analyst 2 in Miami, FL (onsite) to support multiple research projects. The position focuses on data analysis, interpretation, and reporting, including work tied to NIMH-funded implementation grant and NIMH-funded intervention development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis using a range of methods, including statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, and data mining.
- Identify and apply best practices, then translate findings into actionable insights for current business operations.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and generate reporting to support management decision-making. This may include building dashboards or reporting systems for end users for assigned project(s).
- Interpret business data by identifying trends or patterns across datasets.
- Support dissemination and reporting of data, which may include presentations, workshops, and related activities.
- Analyze data to verify accuracy and report issues to management. Identify opportunities to improve data collection and analysis.
- Assist with developing or implementing systems to capture business operation information.
- Follow University and unit-level policies and procedures, including safeguards for University assets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Learning agility: ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
- Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
- Technical proficiency: skill in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
- Communication: strong, clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
