Job Description

AIApply is hiring a Data Analyst / Business Analyst to own reporting that helps teams make better product and growth decisions. This remote role offers flexible working, a competitive salary of USD 100,000 per year, and support for learning with a learning and tooling budget plus a home office stipend. You will work with leadership-level visibility, with time to focus through generous paid time off.

In this position, you will build dashboards, run analyses, and ensure teams have reliable, consistent metrics across acquisition, activation, retention, revenue, and support. You will also help interpret hiring-market data from the platform, translating data into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers.

What you’ll do

  • Own core business and product reporting for acquisition, activation, retention, revenue, and support metrics.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and self-serve reporting so routine questions can be answered without needing manual turnaround.
  • Write complex SQL against production and warehouse data, ensuring metric definitions stay consistent and documented.
  • Design and interpret experiments, including identifying when results may reflect noise instead of signal.
  • Partner with engineering on event tracking, data quality, and pipeline improvements.
  • Deliver decision-oriented analyses with recommendations, not just charts.

What you bring

  • 2+ years as a data or business analyst, ideally in a subscription or consumer software business.
  • Expert SQL and strong ability to work with production and warehouse data.
  • Strong spreadsheet modelling experience using Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Working knowledge of a BI tool such as Metabase, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Comfort with statistics and experiment interpretation (including A/B testing concepts).
  • Python or dbt experience is a strong plus.
  • 2+ years analytics experience with hands-on dashboard building.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Tools you’ll use

SQL, Metabase, Looker, Tableau, Excel, Google Sheets, Python, and dbt.
