Job Description
Seattle Children’s Hospital is seeking a Sr Data Analyst to support Hospital and Enterprise Analytics with analytical solutions built for executive leadership and key stakeholders. This onsite role in Seattle focuses on designing, creating, and deploying reporting and analytics that help drive strategic initiatives while maintaining high data integrity and continuous improvement.
Compensation: USD 118,174 - 177,262 per year. This range is based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers may vary within the range based on factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise. For out-of-state applicants, the compensation range is specific to Seattle, and positions outside Seattle may be compensated differently.
What you’ll do
- Design, create, and deploy analytical solutions for executive leadership and other key stakeholders across SCH.
- Take formal or informal leadership on project tasks, including planning and execution of deliverables.
- Lead the design and implementation of analytic solutions such as reports, dashboards, and views built from multiple existing data sources, and evaluate and optimize solutions for effectiveness.
- Provide internal consultation and project management support.
- Facilitate and gather business requirements to align analytical outcomes with hospital goals.
- Assure data integrity for current and future use across strategic initiatives, continuous quality improvement efforts, and hospital objectives.
- Ensure solutions remain sustainable and adaptable over time.
- Identify and resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle of analytical solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement by spotting opportunities to improve workflow processes during implementation.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science, Computer Science, Math, Business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience/technical training demonstrating analytical and technical competency.
- Minimum 5 years of progressively more responsible experience as a data analyst, developer, or equivalent.
- Experience with Cerner, Epic, or similar software products.
Nice to have
- At least 3 years managing medium to large projects using standard project management skills, tools, and methodologies.
- Experience working as a data analyst in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with clinical, hospital, and/or financial applications and/or systems.
- Experience working with clinicians on pathways, order sets, or similar tools.
- Experience working with the development life cycle.
- Ability to use reasonable and basic statistical analyses to compare and detect trends; utilize established data analysis models and tools for qualitative or quantitative data; apply fundamental statistical methods to identify correlations and causal relationships.
