Job Description
Clear Street is hiring an experienced Data Analytics Engineer on the Control Engineering team to automate Compliance and Finance regulatory processes.
Responsibilities
- Automate Compliance & Finance regulatory workflows.
- Design and build data solutions that process large datasets from a data warehouse to produce clean, correct reporting, including reconciliations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Compliance, Finance, and Treasury to understand regulatory and financial obligations and translate requirements into scalable designs.
- Deliver technical guidance across the team by prioritizing work, performing hands-on design and development, and completing code reviews.
- Help evolve technical standards and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software design and development experience, including CI/CD, source code control, testing, and quality management.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with database design experience.
- Experience working with data warehouses such as Snowflake to build complex, high-scale solutions.
- Self-starter mindset with a sense of urgency and a willingness to learn and evaluate new technologies to address business problems.
- Clear communication skills to work effectively with non-technical business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers.
- Ability to troubleshoot, logically assess problems, and determine solutions.

Bonus Qualifications
- Experience in post-trade automation, including designing and architecting systems that solve complex data problems.

Compensation
- Base salary range: $150,000 - $225,000 per year.
- Range reflects starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street.
- Base salary only; does not include other total compensation elements such as bonuses or equity.
Location: New York, NY (hybrid)
