Data Engineer

Data Engineer role for The Home Depot Home Services team in Atlanta, GA onsite, focused on building and maintaining data pipelines and structures in cloud-based data stores and warehouses to support BI and data science initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Implement a real time streaming data ingestion and processing pipeline using Google Dataflow (Apache Beam).
• Collaborate with business intelligence analysts and IT teams (data engineers, architects, WebOps) in frequent whiteboard sessions to design, implement, and test data pipelines.
• Maintain data architecture standards and ETL/ELT best practices aligned with a column oriented data store for analytic use cases.
• Actively participate in the Scrum delivery process.
• Support solutions in production.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Legal eligibility: Must be eighteen years of age or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
